The Research Team comprises of different faculty members of the University of Patras, spanning from different departments. Specifically,
- Prof. Christos Bouras (Principal Investigator): He will coordinate and supervise all the research team in all work packages. In addition, he will be the key person for the design and assessment of the proposed algorithms and mechanisms and also responsible for the communication/dissemination activities.
- Prof. Ioannis Caragiannis (Faculty member): With his previous experience in algorithm design and analysis, combinatorial optimization, algorithmic aspects of networks, and algorithmic game theory, Prof. Caragiannis is expected to contribute in WP1 (SotA for GT) and in WP4 where he will be responsible for the design of techniques inspired by GT on the developed MU-MIMO and DUDe mechanisms/algorithms, and the assessment of these techniques. He will be the Task Leader in T4.2 and T4.4.
- Assoc. Prof. Kyriakos Sgarbas (Faculty member): Having previous experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence, Prof. Sgarbas will contribute in WP1 (SotA for ML) and he will be responsible for the design of ML techniques on the developed MU-MIMO and DUDe mechanisms/algorithms, and the assessment of these techniques (in WP4). He will be the Task Leader in T4.1 and T4.3.
Distributed Systems and Telematics Laboratory
The Laboratory of Distributed Systems & Telematicsis staffed by 11 people (university professors, post-doctoral students, postgraduate and undergraduate students) and is one of 13 laboratories with the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics in University of Patras, is active in the broader Thematic Area of Next Generation Networks, specifically on issues concerning Mobile Communications Networks, Algorithms and Protocols for High Speed Networks, Cross Layer mechanism, Network simulations and Tests.
